Short Hair for Doodlebug Design

Today I want to share this layout I made for Doodlebug Design and that was published last week on their blog.

This project  documents something really special that happened to me few weeks ago. I have had long hair since I can remember, I love it long and all messy. Although I've  always wanted to cut it really short, never had the guts to do it... until now!

Few weeks ago I finally cut my hair over the shoulders and it felt great! I was scared of looking weird or ugly. but I love the result, and how light it feels :) This is what I wanted to document in this layout using beautiful collection Hello, so sweet an feminine, perfect for the subject of my project.

I used this gorgeous banner cut file by The Cut Shoppe ad base for my design, and stitched over it using my sewing machine. I used two pics, one in colors and one in black and white, I love to combine photos for a more interesting composition.

I wrote my tittle using Abigail alpha in mint color and a word I cut with my Silhouette Cameo and Better Together free font. I used a tiny heart shaped sprinkle as the dot of the "i", I think its such an adorable detail!

I quid my embellishment clusters using lots of flowers from the Odds&Ends packs and also cutting them from the patterned papers of this collection, fussy cutting is one of my fave techniques for scrapbooking so I had a lot of fun cutting lots of flowers.

I also used some stickers and also some Chit Chat goodies, as well as some of the gold heart sprinkles, love them!

I had a lot of fun documenting this big event of my life and playing with this beautiful and girly collection. I hope you liked this project and get inspired to work on your scrapbooks as well.

Have a lovely day!
